Able Community Care has provided Live-In Care in Galashiels since the 1980s. 

Our clients — older people and adults with disabilities — want to continue living safely and happily in their own homes in Galashiels and the surrounding Scottish Borders towns and villages, rather than face the upheaval of moving into a residential care setting.

Hourly care is often not suitable for those with high dependency needs who require continuous 24-hour support, 7 days a week.

What’s more, hourly visits frequently happen at times that suit the care provider rather than the client.

We carefully rotate carers on a fortnightly basis so our clients in Galashiels always feel comfortable and supported in their own home."

All our Carers have a minimum of one year’s experience in the care field and are interviewed face-to-face or via Zoom.

Mandatory training is updated annually.

They have also undergone enhanced police checks, which are updated every three years.
