Live-In Care in Northamptonshire

Able Community Care has been providing Live-In Care in Northamptonshire for over 30 years. We offer a true alternative to moving into residential care accommodation by offering a long term, Live-in Carer Service.

In Northamptonshire just as in other parts of the United Kingdom, older and disabled people, if given the choice would prefer to be cared for and supported in their own home. The phrase often used ‘your own front door is priceless’ summing up how most people feel about their own home.

The location of your home does not matter when you receive a Live-in Care Service as this type of care is not reliant on a care worker arriving daily.

Live-in Carers will stay in your home for fortnightly periods not only offering continuous care support but also providing a secure and safe environment, removing the anxiety often felt when older or disabled people live on their own.

So, whether you live in Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering, Rushden or small villages such as Adstone, Kings Sutton or Maidwell, Able Community Care can provide Live-in Care services.

For each client we care for our objective is to find two or three carers whom you feel happy and comfortable with and who you would like to become part of a rotational pattern, providing continuous care support.

All our carers have a minimum of one’s years’ experience in the care sector, are personally interviewed by us (no SKYPE Interviews) are referenced by us and have all requisite documentation in place.eg. DBS (Criminal Record Check).

Each of our clients has a named Care Manager and we are contactable 24 hours a day including all Bank Holiday periods.

Silverstone is a famous car racing track and our Live-in Carers have accompanied our clients to this venue for race days. Having a Live-in Carer gives you time to expand your social activities, visit friends or go out for the day, all activities which are difficult to arrange with an hourly care service.

Northamptonshire is a famous shoe making county and using ‘shoes’ as an example, having a Live-in Carer means that if a person we are caring for needs new shoes and would like to go and choose a pair, then they have the support to go and visit the shoe shop of choice and make their own selection. Opportunities to keep as much or as little independence remains with the person we are caring for or their families.

In addition to providing our Live-in Care services around the county we are also able to provide Home from Hospital Care, Respite Care and accompany Northamptonshire people who need care on holidays of their choice.
